Seeking Faculty to Participate in NIH proposal

The School of Health Sciences and the Institute for STEM Education seek faculty interested in collaborating on a large-scale NIH Science and Education Partnership Award (SEPA) proposal. The over-arching goal of the grant is “to support educational activities that complement and/or enhance the training of a workforce to meet the nation’s biomedical, behavioral and clinical research needs.” By leveraging our expertise and partnering with faculty across STEM disciplines,  the aim is to design and implement  innovative  multi-disciplinary programs for middle/high school students  that support career paths in the sciences and medical fields. The proposed theme for our project will be “Innovation in Science and Medicine” which allows interested faculty to incorporate a wide range of ideas and authentic research.  Partnering faculty will potentially receive summer salary and the support of a graduate student if funding is successful. Contact Lennart Johns ljohns@clarkson.edu if you are interested in developing and/or participating in this proposal.
