In response to the precautionary self quarantine for all students, Ignite and the Shipley Center for Innovation designed the “Golden Knights Rise – Innovation Challenge”. Today we kicked off a week of daily challenges that will allow students to be creative, have some fun, and give them a chance to win exciting prizes – we need some help judging!
We are posing daily challenges such as building the most creative fort, constructing a Rube Goldberg machine, or building a Golden Knight… but please don’t share these challenges with students, as these will come up throughout the week. These challenges must be completed with items found in the students’ rooms or if desired, items that can be ordered and safely delivered to campus. The students will be given 23 hours (8am to 7am) to complete each challenge.
This is where you come in! We are looking for judges to help us choose the winners each day! Participating students will submit Flipgrid videos of 30 seconds or less by 7am and we ask that judges choose their favorite by 11:30am. This all came together quickly and we know it’s a last minute request, but hope that you’ll find it to be a fun way to connect with the students and support them through the precautionary quarantine period. Please fill out this form to let us know if you can help and when you are available: Judge Sign-up Form. If you sign up, day-of instructions will be provided.
Best,
The Ignite and Shipley Center Teams
