On Friday, the NY State governor passed a bill that would provide employees in the state paid time off to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, effective March 12, 2021 and expires on December 31, 2022.
Employer Requirements:
- Provided paid leave not to exceed four (4) hours per vaccine injection
- Paid at Regular Rate of Pay
- This is additional paid time and has NO impact to other accrued time
Employee Requirements:
- Provide supervisor with scheduled date/time of vaccination(s) when possible at least 24 hours advance
- Clock Out/In of Kronos during scheduled appointment
- Supervisors will update Kronos to reflect ‘paid COVID leave’
- Submit Vaccination Proof Card to Human Resources
- Moderna (2 vaccination shots)
- Pfizer (2 vaccination shots)
- Johnson & Johnson (1 vaccination shot)
1st Vaccination – email vaccination card to clarksonhr@clarkson.edu
2nd Vaccination – upload vaccination card into PeopleSoft HR (Homepage under COVID Vaccine Proof)
