Linkages – Spring 2021

Welcome to the spring 2021 issue of Linkages, the newsletter of the Clarkson University David D. Reh School of Business’ global supply chain management program.

Once again, our global supply chain management program was ranked among the top 20 programs by U.S. News & World Report, 2021.

Read Linkages here.

In this issue, you will read about:

  • New research, “COVID-19 and the Health Care Supply Chain: Impacts and Lessons Learned,” just published in the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals’ Supply Chain Quarterly. With combined expertise in supply chain management, economics and emergency medicine, the coauthors analyze the causes of supply chain disruptions and offer strategies to mitigate disruptions in future emergencies.
  • How Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Operations Management Yuan Zhang mines data — lots of data — to unearth patterns that yield meaningful insights into complex systems, including global supply chains.
  • Senior Vice President of Global Operations at PAR Technology Inc., Bill Williams ’85, MS’15, who leads a team responsible for successfully supplying software, hardware and services solutions to the quick-service restaurant and retail industries in 110+ countries.
  • Other faculty-scholars and students who are using their expertise and skills to take on emerging challenges in the supply chain management field.

We hope you enjoy this issue and welcome your feedback.
