Last evening, the phone switch that services our Capital Region Campus experienced a catastrophic failure impacting all inbound and outbound calls. Our technical staff are working around the clock to expedite a replacement. As a temporary workaround, all inbound calls to 518-631-98xx are being rerouted to a central answering point. Messages will be taken and shared with the intended recipient via email. Outbound calling is inoperable. The life-safety telephone lines (ie. elevator phone and building fire alarm system) are not impacted by this outage.
It is expected that this situation may continue for several days. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work diligently to replace the impacted equipment and restore services.
