Student Achievement Staffing Announcement

The Office of Student Achievement through Academic Affairs is pleased to announce recent staffing and organizational changes within the unit. Supporting Student Achievement through the Office of University Advising (OUA), The Office of the Registrar, and The Office of the Bursar, specific highlights include:

* SAS caseload distribution changes from servicing by Alpha to service by School/Discipline

Staff Promotion:

Please join the Student Achievement Leadership Team in congratulating Angela Shatraw on her recent internal promotion.

*Angela Shatraw, Student Achievement Specialist, SAS. Over the last two years, Angela has served the University as the Administrative Assistant to Student Administrative Services. Often the first contact for matriculated students and their families, Angela has shown exemplary warmth and responsiveness where she

will undoubtedly continue to foster student achievement in her new role. 

New Welcomes to the Team:

*Diana Valdez, Student Achievement Specialist, SAS. Diana joins us from SUNY Albany bringing experience in admissions, advising & financial aid. Diana completed her BS at SUNY Potsdam and now eagerly returns to the Potsdam area to enjoy the beauty of the North Country.

*Kerri Baillargeon, Administrative Assistant, SAS.  Kerri joins the team, having previously served as Director of Advancement at Trinity Catholic School in Massena. Kerri brings valuable experience working with students and their families, as well as creativity and commitment to student achievement.

*Shantel Ingersoll, Undergraduate Pre-Health and Transfer Student Advising Specialist, OUA. Shantel joins the team on August 2nd and brings to Clarkson service oriented experience in health related fields including fluency with state and federal regulations/agencies and relevant medical providers.

 SAS Specialist Undergraduate Student Caseload Distribution:

To align with auxiliary support offices at Clarkson, each undergraduate student will be assigned to an Achievement Specialist based on the student’s discipline. This approach is to foster seamless achievement services offered through the Offices of the Registrar, Advising, and Student Accounts.
