Bassmaster College Championship Aug 11-14 – JOIN US!

Clarkson Community,

Clarkson University and our Bass Fishing Club are hosting the 2021 Carhartt Bassmaster College Series National Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops on Wednesday, August 11 through Saturday, August 14, 2021, launching from Whittaker Park on the St. Lawrence River from Waddington.  Our very own Craig Beucler ‘21, James Gillis ‘24, Dante Piraino ‘21 and Hunter Stone ‘21 have qualified to compete in the Championships and represent Clarkson and the Club!

We have three ways for you to get involved and support our teams and the local community:

  • We are looking for employee volunteers and paid student workers to help with the tournament events and the St. Lawrence County Mini-Festival at Whittaker Park in Waddington! Please ask Jake Newman, jnewman@clarkson.edu for assignments August 12-14 ranging from getting 125+ boats in the water for the EARLY morning launch to welcoming the community to the park to helping with the weigh-in logistics.

  • We still have room for vendors and community booths to be at the mini-Festival on Friday, August 13 and Saturday, August 14, 2021 (Noon to 5pm!)  This includes student businesses that may appeal to the local community!

Student workers and/or vendor booths who need to move on campus early to work the event with us, should contact Lisa Levison, llevison@clarkson.edu for the process.
  • Just want a relaxing afternoon? Pack up the lawn chairs, bring the family and watch the weigh-ins at 2pm on Thursday, and Friday for the entire field, and the final 12 competitors on Saturday.  A mini-festival from Noon to 5pm has something for everyone.  We’ve got more information at http://www.clarkson.edu/bassmaster!
