Spirit Week and Family Weekend

Spirit Week and Family Weekend are this week! This year’s themes are Clarkson and Halloween. Starting Monday, October 25th and running through Saturday, October 30th, look out for exciting activities and events from the Office of Student Life! See the full schedule below: 

Monday, October 25th – Golden Knight Spirit Day

  • Sign up your club and pick up supplies for our window painting competition at the Student Center Desk.
  • Visit our table in the Student Center from 11 am – 2 pm. Show your Clarkson spirit by wearing your Clarkson-branded gear to win new Clarkson swag and pick up free goodies to kick off Spirit Week! You can also take pics with your friends at the Clarkson Halloween photo booth!

Tuesday, October 26th – Tony Tuesday 

  • Taking place from 5 – 7 pm in the Student Center Forum, Tony Tuesday is the day students are invited to suit-up like President Tony Collins in order to compete for prizes.
    • At least $10K in prizes

    • Sign ups will close on Friday, 10/22 at 8am. Any team submissions after that point will not be accepted.

Wednesday October 27th  

  • L.L. Bean Pop Up Shop!
    • From 10am-5pm on Cheel Lawn, L.L.Bean is hosting a pop-up shop that provides the option for students to purchase products and take home with that day. The products that will be sold include L.L.Bean Boots, t-shirts, jackets, flannels, fleece, backpacks and accessories including hats, socks, boot laces, etc.
  • Golden Knights in Action: A Day of Service to the North Country 
    • Join us in the Student Center Forum 11 – 2 pm to participate in service projects for our local Potsdam and North Country community!
  • Plan Your Tomorrow, Today!
    • From 6-7:30pm in the Cheel Barben Rooms, join the Career Center and members of the Graduate School and Reh School of Business to learn more about the role a graduate degree has as it relates to thinking about and achieving your long term career aspirations. Learning advanced skills in your discipline, complementing a technical background with leadership, advancing your earning potential, or simply being competitive are some of the many reasons to come and visit with us! There will be light refreshments, breakout discussions and above all, the opportunity to talk about your future. Stop by!

Thursday, October 28th – Open Mic Night

  • Join us and share your special skills from 6 – 8 pm in the Student Center Forum! Whether it’s singing, dancing, playing an instrument, poetry, reciting spoken word, or something else unique, individuals and student groups are welcomed to participate.
  • Performances are first-come, first-serve. Join us in celebrating your talents!

Friday, October 29th 

  • Event: Funtivities Fair
    • Meet and collect activities from a variety of different clubs, organizations, and offices on Cheel Lawn from 2 pm – 4 pm!

Saturday, October 30th

  • Event: Men’s Hockey vs Michigan State Tailgate
    • Join us on Cheel Lawn for games, performances from various groups on campus, free Family Weekend swag, and s’mores from 2 – 5 pm.
