The Office of Accessibility Services (OAS) is excited to announce that Derrick Gidden, Accommodations Coordinator, has joined the Clarkson team! As Accommodations Coordinator, Derrick is responsible for conducting accommodation intake interviews for students with disabilities, implementing accommodations that eliminate barriers to education access, collaborating with campus partners for accommodations and Assistive Technology, and conducting outreach efforts.
Derrick earned a B.A. in Theatre from SUNY Potsdam. He brings with him a wealth of experience from his work assisting individuals with a variety of disabilities from BOCES as well as The Arc Jefferson-St. Lawrence (formerly NYSARC).
