Good afternoon!
The DEC Urban & Community Forestry team’s recognition event to celebrate the achievements of New York Tree Campuses, Tree Lines, and Tree Cities in 2021 is this Thursday, in two days! We will be hosting the event on WebEx. You may register for this free event here. Please feel welcome to invite your colleagues who are involved in tree programs.
The event will be held from 10am – 11:30am on Thursday March 17, 2022. This will include some celebratory remarks from our team, and will feature three community speakers, described in detail on the attached agenda:
- Alex French, Assistant Director of Sustainability at Clarkson University
- Allison Kleinberger, Utility Forester at Orange & Rockland Utilities
- Eveline Feldmann, Chair of Mt. Vernon Tree Advisory Board
Each of these speakers will be presenting on the urban forestry contributions of their respective programs. We feel their experiences will be educational and inspiring to you.
