Next Issue of Clarkson Magazine: Annual President’s Report Now Live on Web

The most recent issue of the Clarkson Magazine has now been posted to the University Website and is hitting the mailboxes of alumni, donors, and other members of higher education across the country.

This issue is the annual President’s Report edition, which includes a reflection by President Tony Collins on his 19-year tenure as president, leadership in higher education and Clarkson’s evolution to excellence.  Collins, president of Clarkson University since 2003, will step down as Clarkson’s 16th president at the conclusion of the 2022 academic year. A Clarkson faculty member since 1982, President Collins has been a champion for economic development in the North Country and throughout New York State, and a national advocate for higher education.

Other stories include: the new aerospace accreditation for the Coulter School that ensures our graduates are successful in the aerospace job market; the Ken ’71 & Grace Solinsky Engineering Leadership Challenge which is a historic financial commitment to engineering and a story about how alumni have united to revitalize the Cheel Campus Center.

In addition to the numerous updates on the remarkable careers of our alumni and student activities, this issue includes sisters Joanina Gicobi ’15 and Juster Gichovi ’23 who share how they aspire to create transformational change in their home country of Kenya; and Tim Danehy ’92 shares how two passions — engineering and hockey — earned him the title of a behind-the-scenes mastermind.
