The Institute for STEM Education and Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are sponsoring a joint Teaching Effectiveness Challenge.
We are looking for members of the Clarkson Community to respond to the following prompt:
What is effective, inclusive teaching? How do you imagine it playing out in a classroom, a lab, during fieldwork, in a clinical setting? What is the teacher doing? What are the students doing? How are they interacting? How is everyone being included?
Describe a scenario highlighting inclusive, effective teaching for a general audience. This is a concept-based challenge. You do not have to have examples of what you are currently doing. It does not have to cover all the scenarios above. Your response can be general or specific to one of the scenarios.
Submissions can be:
A video of no more than 60 seconds
A written statement of no more than 750 words
A slidedeck of no more than 5 slides
A poster
