This community celebration organized by the Juneteenth Community Organizing Committee is a free cultural event that all are welcome to attend, with historically relevant speakers, catered heritage-rich meal, music, dancing, art, and more! Come celebrate Black Joy!
We will be featuring a *free* traditional soul food meal catered by Big Spoon Kitchen, great DJ beats, enlightening brief presentations, and a good time for the entire family.
Come on out and enjoy a day of Black history, Black culture, Black stories, Black art, good food, music, and much more! Bring your families and friends. Free and open to the public.
Here are some ways you can help and contribute to this community celebration:
- Volunteers for both that day (and sooner, to help coordinate the event) are sought as well! If you would like to volunteer please write to PotsdamJuneteenth@gmail.com.
- Donations of goods for the meal, raffle, decorations, and more are also welcome.
- Contributions and suggestions for music, art, history, games, children’s activities, and more are also sought!
- Additionally, if you can, please donate to the Potsdam Juneteenth Celebration Fundraiser to help us cover expenses! https://gofund.me/e0753449
