Transfer Orientation Schedule – Friday, August 26th, 2022
Please refer to the Campus Map for locations of entrances and buildings on campus. Transfer students regardless of housing assignment, check in at the Cheel Campus Center lobby. Pull right up to the loop in front of the main entrance and head inside to pick up your keys.
- 9am – 12pm: Check-in/Move-in, Cheel Campus Center
- 12 – 1pm: Transfer Student Welcome Lunch, Multi-Purpose Rooms in the Student Center – Meet your fellow transfer students over lunch.
- 1 – 2pm: Campus Tours, Depart from Cheel Tent – Learn where important spaces on campus are through current students.
- 2:30 – 3:30pm: Student Resources Fair – Get connected with the different offices on campus that are here to support you.
After the Student Resources Fair, transfer students are encouraged to participate in the remainder of the First-Year Student Orientation schedule: https://www.clarkson.edu/first-year-schedule.

The Student Success Center is focused on helping you achieve your academic and professional goals. They provide students with tutoring support, test prep services, and success coaching throughout your Clarkson career.
Student Health and Counseling Center is an integrated health and counseling center at Clarkson, whose mission is to empower students to become active participants in their physical health and mental wellbeing. They offer health services including, but not limited to, evaluation for illness or injury, immunizations, STD and HIV testing and treatment, and physicals. Additionally, they offer confidential mental health counseling services and resources related to mental health and wellness topics.
Student Achievement Services (SAS) is a unique one-stop-shop here to help answer any questions regarding academics, financial aid, or student accounts.
Office of University Advising provides professional advising to help transition students to college, integrate into the CU community, navigate their curriculum, connect with campus resources, and evaluate progress towards on-time degree completion

Additional Important Information
Dining Options
Dining Services has a variety of meal plans to choose to accommodate your needs! Learn about how to manage your food allergies, the various meal plan options, the different ways they can be used on campus, and sign up for your meal plan today! If needed, meal plans can be changed during the first two weeks of each semester.
Knight Card
The Knight Card is your official identification card as a Clarkson University Student. The card allows students access to their residence hall, the Fitness Center, to check out books from the library, and in individual cases, to purchase their meals. In addition to these services, Clarkson offers the ability to use your Knight Card to pay for vending on-campus and to be used at popular locations off-campus.
Mail on Campus
After picking up your room keys at Cheel, you can go to the Student Center main floor to pick up your mail key. Your mailbox number is located on MyCU. Mailboxes are located in the lower level of the Student Center.
Personal Vehicles
Students must register their vehicle with the Office of Campus Safety & Security. There is no cost for registration, and a vehicle is registered only when the valid parking permit assigned to the vehicle is properly displayed on the back of the review mirror. Visit Campus Safety & Security to view a campus parking map and learn how to register your vehicle. After arriving on campus, students will receive their vehicle registration stickers, if applicable, in their student mailbox or can be picked up at Campus Safety and Security.
Public Transportation
Students are able to use their Knight Card to utilize St. Lawrence County public transit College Connector Shuttles. This includes the CUSA (sponsored by your Clarkson University Student Association) Shuttle Bus which stops on campus about every hour at the Student Center.
