Upcoming COVID-19 and Monkeypox Vaccine Clinics

Clarkson University will be hosting St. Lawrence County Public Health on Tuesday, Nov. 1 and Tuesday, Nov. 29 in the Barben Rooms in Cheel Arena for a vaccination clinic for both COVID-19 and Monkeypox.

Both the COVID-19 vaccines and JYNNEOS vaccine to fight Monkeypox are available to faculty, staff, students and the community at large.

Monkeypox is an infectious disease that anyone can get through close, personal, often skin-to-skin contact. The rash may look like pimples, blisters, or sores, often with an earlier flu-like illness.

Many—though not all—of the reported cases in the U.S. have been among gay and bisexual men. Given this and a shortage of vaccine, CDC is focusing on identifying and using specific channels that will directly reach gay and bisexual men across racial, ethnic, socioeconomic and geographic backgrounds for vaccination. When more vaccines are available, everyone will be eligible for the vaccine.
