If you run Linux and would like faster updates you should check the student run open source software mirror at https://mirror.clarkson.edu/. We host official mirrors for distributions like LinuxMint, Ubuntu, Manjaro, Arch Linux, Parrot and more! We also support the Blender, VLC, LibreOffice, and MSYS2 projects. We have a 10 gigabit connection to the university network.
We are also looking to expand Mirror’s service to support research reproducibility here at Clarkson. If you have some research data you would like to have publicly accessible for download. Send an email to mirroradmin@clarkson.edu we might be able to help.
The Clarkson University Mirror is operated by the Clarkson Open Source Institute (COSI) in Science Center 346. Meetings are held every Wednesday at 7pm.
