Thank you to all employees who have worked hard to ensure that our students have had a remarkable year as we returned back to normal operations this semester. Clarkson supports and appreciates all that you do for our students and your colleagues. Clarkson would like to recognize you and the work that you do with extended time off during the December break. Please use this time to spend with family and friends.
The University will be closed this holiday season for the following official University observed dates:
- Friday, December 23, 2022
- Monday, December 26, 2022
- Tuesday, December 27, 2022
- Monday, January 2, 2023
As a special thank you, the University has decided to increase the length of time off for the Holiday Break.
- Monday, December 19, 2022 – Friday, December, 30, 2022.
*Normal operation hours 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. will resume on Tuesday, January 3, 2023
*Union employees should refer to the union contract on holidays.
Moving forward, Clarkson will also recognize Juneteenth, which is now a federal holiday, as an official holiday for the University.
As you get ready for a few days of well-deserved rest and family time, we would like to remind you to:
- Turn copiers off at the switch
- Unplug the water coolers
- Close your blinds to help with heating costs
We recognize that departments may have to have coverage on some of these days. Those employees will be given days that they work an additional day off in the future and will have until June 30, 2023 to use the days. They have no cash value and will not be paid out if the employee leaves the University.
