Reh School students pitch their business idea to investors nationwide

A group of students of the David D. Reh School of Business travelled to Florida to pitch their business idea, Preprk, to investors.

Kehinde Fasehun and Michael Duran, who are both Innovation and Entrepreneurship majors, explained “Preprk is revolutionizing the parking industry by vertically integrating a cutting-edge tracking system with a state-of-the-art reservation platform. It also eliminates the uncertainty of finding a parking spot while also streamlining the reservation process, ultimately saving time and money for all parties involved. We’re poised to disrupt the entire parking industry worldwide”.

The students presented Preprk in a seed round at the Nassau County Economic Board and then met with business executives, venture capitalists (VC) and other entrepreneurs in Florida.

“Suffice to say, our meetings were a tremendous success, with the board members offering us
invaluable insights and advice on our startup. And then came the pivotal moment – investor Kenneth
Saitow immediately recognized the magnitude of our vision and urged us to aim higher than our initial funding goal” said Reh School student Kehinde.

The trip was made possible by the Reh School of Business’ experiential learning fund and the Reh Center for Entrepreneurship.

“Experiential learning is a fundamental part of the Reh educational experience. If you add to that
students with a strong work ethic, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a rigorous curriculum delivered by
world-renowned scholars, you will find the key to the exceptional ROI of our business degrees and the success of the Preprk team,” said Diego Nocetti, Dean of the Reh School of Business and Gates Professor of Innovative Business Culture.

Christian Felzensztein, Reh Chair in Entrepreneurial Leadership and co-Director of the Reh Center for
Entrepreneurship added “When you see students with entrepreneurial potential our role is to make
their lives a success and open a world of opportunities for them. This transforms their lives forever”.

Members of the Preprk team include: Kehinde Fasehun, major in Innovation and Entrepreneurship,
Michael Duran, major in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Ryan Bellinger, major in Global Supply Chain Management, and William Gannon, major in Civil Engineering.
