Ultimately, the CURE provides a much needed flexible time at the end of the academic year for faculty and staff to plan their next steps in terms of research and teaching goals, to share their ideas and get feedback, and to foster new collaborations. Intentionally timed to kick off the summer, CURE attendees exchange information about a current initiative or challenge with the aim of uncovering synergies with others on campus. Informal gatherings allow participants to start to act on newly discovered possibilities and begin to work with new collaborators.
