The Institute for STEM Education team members have developed and delivered a range of impactful programming this year, serving the Clarkson campuses and surrounding K12 communities while simultaneously contributing to pedagogical research. Teaching Circles Support Clarkson Faculty with Year-long Workshop Series
Clarkson University faculty participants joined Teaching Circles on a range of topics throughout the 2022-23 academic year. Teaching Circles (TCs) supporting Clarkson University faculty were regularly hosted in a year-long series programmed by the Institute for STEM Education (STEM Ed) and the Faculty Support and Development Task Force. 2023 STEM Quest Challenge winners selected from 18 student teams
Clarkson University’s Institute for STEM Education (STEM Ed) is pleased to announce the 2023 STEM Quest Challenge winning team, “Float Fest”. The annual Challenge saw 18 undergraduate student teams vie for first place, in the competition judged by STEM Ed faculty and affiliates. READ MORE

Clarkson IMPETUS shines at Statewide Research Conference
Zoe Whalen, a seventh-grade student at Heuvelton Central School, recently placed first in her category at the New York State Department of Education’s Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP) statewide research conference. Whalen presented a study on the effects of caffeine on student mental health through the Clarkson Discovery Challenge, a part of Clarkson’s Integrated Math and Physics for Entry to Undergraduate STEM (IMPETUS) program. Clarkson STEM Ed sponsored outreach spans North Country in 2023
Clarkson University’s Institute for STEM Education (STEM Ed) conducted grant-funded outreach for thousands of K-12 students in the 22-23 academic year, including programs and partnerships with schools impacting students at many levels across the North Country. READ MORE
