Clarkson placed 39th on Stacker’s Top-100 ranking. Colleges are ranked by the highest mid-career earnings, with ties broken by early career earnings. Mid-career earnings are median salaries for alumni with 10+ years of experience, and early career earnings are for alumni with 0-5 years of experience. Clarkson’s median early career pay for graduates is $70,700 and the median mid-career pay is $139,900.

The Stacker rankings, which were compiled using data released from PayScale, also highlighted that Clarkson’s class of 2019 reports salaries more than 10 percent higher than the national average. Overall, 97 percent of Clarkson grads found placement within six months of their graduation.

Slides also include the percentage of students earning degrees in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) as well as the percentage of those who report that their work is not only important to them personally but also, they believe, has a positive effect on the world at large, defined here as “high meaning.” At Clarkson, 52 percent of students earned a STEM degree, and 58 percent of grads believe their work has high meaning.
