Brian Grant, Vice President of Student Affairs is very pleased to announce that Kelsey Pearson has been appointed Dean of Students. She has served as Interim Dean of Students since July 2022 and will continue to serve the University in this critical role as Clarkson University’s first female Dean of Students.
Kelsey has been a valued member of the Clarkson University community since she accepted the role of Director of Student Organizations and Student Center in 2015. Three years later, she transitioned to the role of Assistant Dean of Students for Accommodations and Conduct. Kelsey accepted additional responsibilities in 2022 and was promoted to Associate Dean of Students. Secondarily, Kelsey served as Deputy Title IX Coordinator from August 2015 through April 2022. Prior to her time at Clarkson, Kelsey served as Area Coordinator at SUNY Potsdam and Residence Director and Staff Assistant for New Student Orientation at Keuka College. Kelsey’s professional experience provides her with a unique perspective as Dean of Students and is an asset to the Division of Student Affairs.
Kelsey has provided caring leadership in the Office of the Dean of Students and demonstrated her commitment to all Clarkson students. Her ability to enhance and empower students’ development by advocating for their rights, responsibilities, health, and safety and minimizing obstacles to achieve a quality education dedicated to excellence, leadership, and citizenship will continue to benefit Clarkson University.
