We are excited to welcome fans to Cheel Campus Center and Arena for the 2023-2024 Golden Knight hockey season starting this Saturday, September 23rd at 2PM when Clarkson Golden Knights Women’s hockey team takes on Merrimack.
As was announced with season tickets this year, Cheel Campus Center and Arena will be selling alcohol throughout the building. While the full policy can be viewed in its entirety by clicking the Alcohol Protocol and Regulations button on this page, key parts of the rules and regulation are noted below:
- 2023-2024 hockey season will be a pilot year for the public sale of Alcohol and subject to ending at any time per game or season by Sodexo or Clarkson University.
- No outside beverages will be allowed into Cheel Campus Center and Arena and all bags are subject to being checked upon entering the arena starting 2 hours prior to puck drop and no alcoholic beverages will be permitted to leave Cheel Campus Center and Arena in compliance with New York State laws and regulations.
- Anyone who would like to purchase or consume alcohol within Cheel Campus Center and Arena will need to show ID and get a wrist band prior to purchasing or consuming alcohol. Wrist bands can be obtained at Cheel Main Street.
- Fans caught consuming alcohol without a wristband with be subject to removal from Cheel Campus Center and Arena with no refund.
- Fans caught buying or consuming alcohol under the age of 21 will be turned over to local authorities and will be subject to being banned from Cheel Campus Center and Arena.
- All students caught violating any rules and procedures will be turned in to Student Affairs for disciplinary action.
- Beer and Seltzer will be available for purchase at concession stands behind Section 6 and Section 14 at 1 designated window up until puck drop at the start of the 3rd period.
- Beer and Wine will be available for purchase at a beverage cart on Cheel Main Street up until puck drop at the start of the 3rd period
- The Cheel Commons will be a family friendly room with no alcohol permitted.
- Alcohol purchases will be 1 beverage per person per transaction.
Food is still permitted to be brought into Cheel Arena, but as stated above no outside beverages will be allowed into Cheel Campus Center and Arena.
