In the next few weeks, you have much to do to ensure success this semester and prepare for enrollment for next semester.
Mid-term Grades are accessible now by logging into myCU and selecting “Academics” and then “Grades” in the left hand panel. Midterm Grades listed will be “S” (performing at “C” or higher for undergraduate students or “B” or higher for graduate students”), “U” (performing at less than “C” for undergraduate students or “B” for graduate students), or “N” (insufficient information available for grading). Take the time to review the feedback provided by your course instructors, and be sure to discuss any problems with that faculty member and/or your advisor when you meet in the next couple weeks.
Your Final Exam Schedule is also available in myCU now. Click on ”Academics” in your myCU Dashboard to view your personalized exam schedule.
All students should examine their schedule carefully. As stated in Clarkson’s Regulations, III-H Final Examinations #4, no student may be required to take more than three final examinations in one day, or more than four in two consecutive days. Students with exam conflicts, or who have more exams in a period than allowed by the regulations, must follow the instructions listed in the regulations to make arrangements with faculty.
The Spring 2024 Class Schedule is now available: Students will be able to plan their class schedules using Schedule Builder. Add courses and then validate your preferred schedule. Validation will let you know of any errors you can anticipate encountering when actual enrollment begins.
Enrollment for spring begins on Wednesday, November 8th: Each student is assigned an enrollment time period– a time and date that enrollment will begin being accessible to you. Enrollment time periods span November 8th-13th. Students are assigned time periods based on their projected academic level (example: If you are currently a freshman, and will be a sophomore next semester, you will have an enrollment time period on the same day as the other sophomores). It is your responsibility to check myCU for your enrollment time period, and enroll in classes using myCU.
This is what you should be doing now to prepare:
-Log into myCU to view your current mid-term grades, and your academic advisement report prior to meeting with your advisor.
-Make an appointment to meet with your academic advisor. Your advisor’s contact information can be found under “Academics” in the left hand panel and then “Advisor Information”.
-Check myCU for your Enrollment time period(this specifies the day and time you can begin enrolling in classes, it is NOT the same as the appointment you make with your academic advisor)
-Monitor your Clarkson email and the Announcements for further reminders and information about enrollment.
