Wafi Aziz, MS student in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department, has been honored with the Best Student Presentation Award at prestigious International Conference on Planarization/CMP Technology (ICPT 2023 Japan). He is currently working at Dr. Jihoon Seo’s research group where his work focuses on Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) and Post-CMP cleaning techniques of Semiconductor wafers.
CMP, one of the most important processes in the semiconductor devices manufacturing, has been developed and improved continuously year after year and is expanding in its applied area. ICPT as an international symposium for Planarization/CMP is a magnificent platform to have discussions on technologies including Fundamentals of CMP, Polishing Processes, Consumables, Equipment, Green Devices, Metrology, Cleaning, Defect Control etc.
Wafi Aziz’s achievement stands out as he secured this award amidst 40 selected student presenters from around the world who participated in this year’s ICPT conference in Japan.
