Students needed to participate in study on the importance of water

Dear Clarkson Students,

You are being invited to participate in a study looking at understanding the shared value and importance of water

This study is voluntary, and your choice to participate or not will in no way affect your standing as a student. I am the Primary Investigator (PI) for this study, and I am working with my co-PIs Seema Rivera, Abraham Francis, Tzintzun Aguilar-Izzo, and Blake Lavia.

The names of participants will not be stated in any published documents, all participants will have pseudonyms, and participation is voluntary. The data will all be destroyed at the completion of the study.

The first part of the study involves filling out a short survey. Based on the answers you provide, we will select participants to participants in focus groups.  If selected, you will be compensated $100 for your participation in a 2 hour long focus group. You can withdraw from the study while the workshop is being held and not lose the funds provided to attendees.

The results of this study will provide valuable information for North Country communities that are moderating important conversations about shared environmental resources.

All contact information will be kept confidential. Please contact me (michael.twiss@algomau.ca) if you are interested in participating or if you have any questions.

Thank you for considering this participatory research opportunity.

Sincerely,

Michael Twiss, Professor Emeritus, Clarkson University (michael.twiss@algomau.ca)
