Student Achievement Champion of the Year nominations due 2/5/24

The Distinction of Student Achievement Champion of the Year recognizes a University community member (faculty, staff, or administrator) who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to undergraduate students by actively going above and beyond their responsibilities in supporting or advancing student achievement toward the development of the whole student. Examples of supporting undergraduate student achievement can include advancing related University goals, showing leadership in how Clarkson supports students, creativity in approach, connecting curriculum with career aspirations, fostering student engagement, developing high impact practices, or notably impacting students’ feeling of belonging. The awardee will receive this honor during the forthcoming recognition day in April.

Award For Student Achievement Champion of the Year

Eligibility:

Educator of the Clarkson University community

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate student achievement through personalized education and development of the whole student that increases well-being, engagement, and preparedness at Clarkson by actively going above and beyond their responsibilities, and
  • Must have supported undergraduate Student Achievement goals through active collaboration to provide intentional, proactive, accessible, and relational student services to foster successful matriculation and persistence of undergraduate students to graduation, and
  • Full-time Clarkson employee

Nominations:

Faculty, staff, administration and students may nominate members of the Clarkson community via a nomination form. For full consideration, please submit names by Monday, February 5, 2024. Please contact Lori Dillon at ldillon@clarkson.edu with any questions.

Selection:

Subsequent to receiving nominations, a committee composed of members from the Provost’s Council will meet to facilitate the selecting of the individual most deserving of this recognition embodied in the award. Please note that all nominations will be considered good for two years.
