Dear Clarkson Students:
We hope you are all looking forward to your well-deserved Spring Break! As a follow-up to the previous email you received from the Residence Life Office, here are some steps you should take if leaving your vehicle on campus:
- Before you leave, please park your vehicle in Lot 13 (between TAC and Woodstock Village) in the row(s) closest to the Adirondack Trail roadway. Your vehicle will need to be moved to a normal, legal parking spot within 24 hours of your return to campus.
- Notify Campus Safety and Security that your vehicle has been moved and will be parked on campus during the break.
- Double-check that all windows are rolled up, doors are locked, and no valuables have been left in the vehicle.
- Do a walk-around (good) or take pictures (better) of your vehicle before leaving to document your vehicle’s condition when you left it.
- Upon picking up your vehicle after your return, do another walk-around for any new damages.
- If you notice any new damage to your vehicle, call Campus Safety and Security (315-268-6666) and/or the Potsdam Police Department (315-265-2121) as soon as possible and before moving your vehicle. Document the damage with photos.
Here are some extra Spring Break safety tips from the Virginia Tech Police Department as well.
We wish you all a safe, fun, refreshing Spring Break! Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. We are here 24/7 to help you!
Thank you,
Clarkson Campus Safety and Security Team
