CAMP invites research students (faculty also welcome!) to participate in the annual CAMP-ing Days Instrumental Showcase. Each year we spend 2 days guiding students through the analytical facilities and fostering discourse about how the offered methods apply to their research projects. This year will focus on diffraction: Powder X-ray Diffraction, TEM, and EBSD will all be highlighted as ways of identifying information with respect to the crystallographic properties of materials. Showcases will be highlighted with a lunch session where an application scientist from Bruker will present on cutting edge diffraction methods available via the newly installed Bruker D8 Advance XRD.
These sessions are aimed to familiarize 1st and 2nd year graduate students with the shared user research facilities at CAMP and promote cross-disciplinary problem solving. Students are highly encouraged to bring samples which can be analyzed if time allows.
Registration is free but the following form must be filled out: CAMP-ing Days Registration Form 2024 – Google Forms
Please forward this to any of your research students you would like to encourage to attend.
P.S. Participants interested in only attending the Brucker webinar will have a link distributed to them after they register.
