The Institute for STEM Education is excited to announce a fellowship for graduate students, offering full tuition and stipend support starting June 1, 2024. The STEM Ed Fellow’s research can be in any department on campus; while their responsibilities will be supporting initiatives of the Institute in collaboration with the STEM Ed Leadership Team and associated faculty. These duties may include contributing to ongoing pedagogical research projects and assisting with a range of K12 STEM Outreach summer programs and academic year campus events, such as Robotics, IMPETUS, and Horizons. The Fellow should be interested in developing and delivering curriculum, designing assessment strategies, and working well with K12 teachers and students. Likely some of this work will be supported by grants and may lead to educational research publications. The Fellow will have the opportunity to assist with programs at the Beacon and Capital Region Campuses, with travel and housing expenses fully covered. The time commitment is expected to be on average 20 hours per week, with most weeks being much less and a few weeks over the summer being a full 40-hour commitment.
Fellows must have access to a car and be a licensed driver and a flexible schedule.
Interested students can send a cover letter expressing their interest and related experiences as well as their CV and one reference letter to Dr. Kavanagh at kkavanag@clarkson.edu.
