Kelsey Madden, an esteemed alumna of the Clarkson University Healthcare Management MBA program and a dedicated member of the Health Advisory Council, recently spearheaded an empowering event for young women athletes in Albany, NY. Titled “Girls Who Play Sports Become Women Who Lead,” the program brought together over 50 promising individuals from Albany PAL, Boys & Girls Club, and Girls’ Inc. to witness history in the making at the MVP Arena during the women’s NCAA tournament.
The event aimed to inspire and empower young women by showcasing the transformative power of sports in leadership development.
In attendance at the event was Caitlin Clark’s mother (U of Iowa), and the CEO of Capital Region Girls Inc. The initiative received overwhelming support from the community, with attendees expressing gratitude for the opportunity to witness history and be part of a movement that champions the empowerment of young women through sports.
