Moodle 4 Migration Complete, Moodle 3 turned off June 1, 2024

Overview:

As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our educational technology infrastructure, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) is pleased to announce that the migration to Moodle 4 from Moodle 3 is now complete. Starting June 1, 2024, Moodle 3 will be turned off which means it will no longer be accessible by students, faculty or staff.

The migration to Moodle 4 has been a significant undertaking as courses began in the new version as early as Summer 2023 with development efforts leading up to that point. Recognition is extended to all those involved in this process, including the MaxMoodle migration project team, faculty members, and administrative staff who have collaborated tirelessly to ensure a smooth transition.

Action:

With the migration now finalized, all desired courses are successfully moved to the Moodle 4 platform. If for some reason you believe desired course materials exist in Moodle 3, we kindly request that you contact helpdesk@clarkson.edu for help migrating any remaining courses to Moodle 4 before June 1, 2024. This will ensure that all members of our community have access to the latest features and enhancements offered by Moodle 4.

For assistance with migrating courses or any questions regarding the transition, please reach out to helpdesk@clarkson.edu. We are here to provide guidance and support every step of the way.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding throughout this process. We are excited about the opportunities that Moodle 4 brings to our learning environment and look forward to continuing to provide you with the best possible educational experience.
