Russell Hankey, Mechanical Engineering M.S. Student, Wins First Place in Student Poster Competition at NAHOMCon

Mechanical Engineering M.S. student, Russell Hankey, just won the first place award in the student poster competition at the North American High Order Methods Conference (NAHOMCon) 2024, June 17-19, 2024, Dartmouth College

Three men pose with copies of a linear algebra book under an outdoor tent.

The title of Russell’s presentation is “The Spectral Difference with Divergence Cleaning Method for Solutions of Kinematic Dynamo Problems.” His poster was co-authored by Russell Hankey, Maxwell Stephan, and Chunlei Liang.

The third North American High Order Methods Conference (NAHOMCon) was held at Dartmouth College in Hanover New Hampshire. NAHOMCon aims to provide a North American forum for computational scientists, mathematicians, scientists and engineers to share ideas and techniques on, and further the state of the art of, high order methods for the solution of partial differential equations with applications to a broad range of scientific and engineering applications.

The conference featured six invited talks over a three day period with parallel sections of shorter lectures grouped by topics.
