Dr. Chunlei Liang received a Faculty Travel Grant of $1,700 from the American Geophysical Union (AGU) for his participation in the American Geophysical Union 2024 Annual Meeting, held 9-13 December 2024 in Washington D.C., USA. This will be the first time for Dr. Liang to attend an AGU conference.
Dr. Liang plans to report a computational algorithm, namely the Spectral Difference with Divergence Cleaning (SDDC) method, for predicting sunspot cycles there to the Solar Physics community. This work is in collaboration with Mechanical Engineering graduate student, Russell Hankey.
