Congratulations to William Annan, Mathematics PhD student at Clarkson University, for winning best overall Poster Pitch at this summer’s RAPS conference. Williams’ research talk titled “Modeling the spread of retinal detachment and its effects on the dynamics of rod outer segment renewal”, is funded by the NSF, and he works under the supervision of both Prof. Diana White and Prof. Emmanuel Asante-Asamani in Clarkson’s Mathematics Department.
Along with this award, William has been busy giving his talk at national conferences, such as the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics earlier this summer, and recently published his newest work in the highly visible open access platform PLOS One.
