New Student Move-In Day to impact traffic flow and parking on campus

We are excited to welcome our new students to campus on Friday, August 23. There will be a temporary traffic pattern from 8:30am-2pm on August 23 to account for our move-in process and the additional people on campus.

The image is a map of the campus, showing the traffic flow pattern from Route 11 through campus, to the various first-year student buildings.
  • All new students will enter campus from U.S. Route 11 at the Adirondack Trail entrance. There will be signs designating it as the entrance for move-in.
  • Students will be directed to take a left behind Cheel Campus Center and drive around to the front of Cheel Campus Center. Students will remain in their vehicle to collect their residence hall room key, student ID card, and orientation schedule outside of Price Hall.
    • Students who have a hold on their account due to incomplete health or financial requirements will be directed to a designated parking spot to resolve the hold prior to receiving their room key. To expedite the process, students are encouraged to resolve these requirements prior to move-in day.
  • Signs will be placed at the intersection of Goldenrod Drive to direct students to first-year buildings. Transfer students will receive individualized directions when obtaining their room key.
  • First-year students will be greeted by a move-in crew volunteer, a fellow member of the Clarkson community, upon arrival to their residence hall.
