Faculty: A reminder that class begins August 26. The following are resources to help you with pre-term course preparations:
Complete Course Preparedness Checklist
Use this checklist with links to tools and more to help ensure your course is ready on day one.
Request Your Echo360 Lecture Capture Schedule:
If you wish to record in-person class lectures with Echo360, please submit the request to schedule those recordings in Peoplesoft Faculty Center. Help Desk will send you an update via RT when your recording schedule is complete.
Set Up ‘Virtual Class and Recordings’ in Moodle:
A link to create a Zoom meeting room and a link to your course in Echo360 can be found in your Moodle course. Select the desired options and complete the set-up as described in these instructions.
Each term the Help Desk hears from many concerned students who are looking for their course in Moodle. It isn’t until you ‘show’ your course that your students see it listed in their Course Dashboard in Moodle. This helps them to confirm their enrollment and access any pre-term information you wish to convey. You can always select which information students can see, hide all the rest until a later time.
Get Acquainted with Classroom Technology
For those teaching in classrooms, it is a good practice to get acquainted with your classroom before the first day of class. Take time to stop by to confirm location, login to the computer and become familiar with controls for overhead projection, microphone audio, webcasting/recording options and pen touch tablet.
