As we begin a new academic year, the Office of the Dean of Students provides the following information for faculty and staff.
- The Student Regulations for this academic year, detailing student rights and responsibilities, are available on the SAS webpage and Dean of Students Intranet page. All students must read and follow these Regulations. Use the bookmark icon in the PDF for easy navigation.
- Our office offers resources such as SafetyNet, the Emergency Relief Fund, and the CU Pantry. Information is on the Dean of Students Intranet page. If you think a student might need assistance, complete a SafetyNet referral or connect them with our office.
- The Dr. Robert A. Plane Endowment Fund supports faculty and staff hosting student events by reimbursing up to $150 for in-home or off-campus events or $100 for campus functions. For more information or to apply for funding, email deanofstudents@clarkson.edu.
- We provide Notifications of Absence for serious illnesses, hospitalizations, family emergencies, or sensitive circumstances. Minor illnesses do not qualify. Please review the Attendance Policy (III-F) in the Regulations prior to referring students to our office for such a request. Please ensure your attendance policy aligns with the Regulations.
- Our office maintains a list of campus and local resources. Feel free to use and distribute our Resource List widely.
