Virtual Urgent Care

Need an appointment with a medical provider as soon as possible? We are excited to let you know that Virtual Urgent Care is now available across the St. Lawrence Region, including to our student population at Clarkson University.

A flyer with blue to purple to pink fading colors, a woman sitting on her couch covered up with a blanket, blowing her nose, with a computer on her lap. The text says, "Virtual Urgent Care. Whenever you need us, we're here for it." Underneath the graphic it states, "At Rochester Regional Health, we provide Virtual Urgent Care for when you need to see a provider right away. Our service offers convenient access to care from wherever you are - at home, at work, or on the go. We're committed to helping you feel better faster, by treating a variety of non-emergency medical needs, including: Allergies, colds, congestion, mild asthma, rashes, sinus infections, sore throats, and stomach issues. You can connect with us from your smartphone, tablet, or computer - no need to be a current patient! Please check with your insurance provider before using Virtual Urgent Care to confirm coverage." There is a QR code that says "Scan here to learn more" with a link provided: rochesterregional.org/urgentcare RochesterRegionalHealth logo is on the bottom right of the flyer.

Rochester Regional Health has partnered with the Clarkson University Student Health and Counseling Center to offer virtual health care daily from 7 am to 10 pm for a variety of non-emergency medical needs, including allergies, colds, congestion, mild asthma, rashes, sinus infections, sore throats, and stomach issues.

In addition to the Health Center’s current in-person services (8 am to 4:30 pm M-F), students can now access virtual urgent care through their smartphone, tablet, or computer. During the appointment, a Rochester Regional Health provider will assess and, if needed, prescribe treatment or recommend further tests (i.e., throat swabs for strep, nasal swabs for COVID/flu, blood work, etc.) which can be completed at either the Potsdam or Canton Urgent Care locations.

We invite you to visit rochesterregional.org/urgentcare to learn more. Please note that these services are not free, and we strongly encourage you to check with your insurance provider to confirm that virtual care is included in your existing plan.

For further assistance with accessing care, you can call (585) 922-TELE (8353), available daily from 7 am to 10 pm.
