In one week, on Thursday October 10th, join the Institute for a Sustainable Environment and Talking Rivers to learn about threats to the Raquette River and what we can all do to protect her rights.
This workshop will take place in the Student Center Multipurpose Rooms and will first feature a presentation by Clarkson Professor Erik C. Backus. Dr. Backus will describe how the changing climate will affect the Raquette River and other North Country Waters. This will be followed by a workshop led by the community organizers Blake Lavia and Tzintzun Aguilar-Izzo. They will give an overview of the Rights of Nature movement, and how it can be applied to the Raquette River Watershed.
