Clarkson University Fall 2024 David A. Walsh ‘67 Arts & Sciences Seminar Series

Please join us this Friday, Nov 8th for the David A Walsh Seminar for the Arts and Sciences in Snell 213 at noon. Dr Kelly (Wormwood) Moser, Ph.D., Customer Success Manager, MOBILion Systems Inc., Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania will speak on “Technological Advancements in the Environmental and Pharmaceutical Industries”.

Technological Advancements in the Environmental and Pharmaceutical Industries

The need for highly sensitive, reproducible, and specific analyses is well known across nearly all industries. Gold standard technologies for this have typically included liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS). Over the years, LC-MS technology has advanced dramatically, leading to improved chromatographic separations, faster acquisitions, and higher mass resolution. This presentation will focus on the addition of new high resolution ion mobility (HRIM) technology and its application to environmental and pharmaceutical workflows, specifically for analysis of PFAS and peptide therapeutics, respectively. Additionally, as a previous two-time Clarkson graduate, I will share my experiences while at Clarkson including opportunities I had throughout my journey, lessons learned, how I obtained my role post-graduation, and how I progressed to my current position.

Headshot, Kelly Moser
