Faculty: A reminder that the start of Winter Quarter and Spring term classes is only a few days after the holiday break ends (see Academic Calendar). The Teaching & Learning Corner (TLC) wishes to remind all instructors that the following resources are available to help you begin course preparations now:
Start Now: Complete Course Start-up Checklist
Use this checklist with links to tools and more to help ensure you are ready on day one.
Request Your Echo360 Lecture Capture Schedule
For those recording in-person class lectures with Echo360, please submit the request to schedule those recordings in Peoplesoft Faculty Center. Help Desk will send you an update via RT when your recording schedule is complete.
Show Your Course in Moodle
We know that students look in Moodle in advance of the first day of classes for information about your courses. Instructors must set the course to ‘show’ in order for students to access it from their Course Dashboard in Moodle. This is a great opportunity to welcome students back and to help them prepare for the start of the term. Show your Moodle course today!
Get Acquainted with Classroom Technology
For those teaching in classrooms, it is a good practice to get acquainted with your classroom before the first day of class. Take time to stop by to confirm location, login to the computer and become familiar with controls for overhead projection, microphone audio, webcasting/recording options and pen touch tablet.
Connect with the TLC
The TLC is dedicated to supporting all faculty in designing quality learning experiences. Connect with a TLC team member today for help with course design, technology integration, and instructional support.
