Project Leader – Home Energy Career Pathways Program (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary: To manage deliverables from the New York State Energy and Research Development Authority (NYSERDA) grant which focuses on building curriculum to train people ages 16-24 with the skills to conduct home energy audits and weatherization activities.

Minimum qualifications:  Master’s in environmental sciences or related fields. At least 10 years of working with students in higher education in teaching and advising capacity.

Range: $71,760.00 salary based on experience

Per Diem Campus Safety & Security Officer (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary Guidelines: The Campus Safety Officer is responsible for providing campus safety services to the university community, which includes enforcing university regulations, vehicle and traffic laws, local, state and federal laws. Providing emergency response on campus and protecting life and property within the Clarkson community. In addition, the Campus Safety Officer/ Staff engage in outreach and communication efforts to women and/or underrepresented student groups on campus around issues of alcohol consumption, sexual misconduct, sexual harassment and bias-related conduct.

Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma required. New York State driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the University.

Range: $16.00 based on experience

Assistant Athletic Trainer (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary Guidelines: This position incorporates all aspects of the athletic training profession. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will work with the Head Athletic Trainer to provide coverage for 20 intercollegiate teams including Division I Hockey. General duties include but are not limited to, ensuring compliance with all NCAA, and HIPPA laws, prevention, care and rehabilitation for all student athletes. This is an eleven month renewable position.

Minimum qualifications: Master’s Degree and NATABOC certified and certified to work in the USA and New York State.  Current certification in CPR and First Aid required.  Ability to relate effectively to student athletes, coaches and other health care professionals, and the University community

Minimal Experience:   1-3 years of collegiate athletic training experience.  Demonstrated commitment to furthering the goals and objectives of both, the University and Athletics Department.  Ability to successfully communicate with student-athletes and coaching staff.  Understanding of the role of the student-athlete in a competitive academic/athletic environment and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to a variety of constituency groups.  Knowledge of NCAA Division I and III rules and regulations.

Range: $45,000-$50,750.00 based on experience

Maintenance Mechanic Locksmith (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary: Perform at a journeyman level of expertise on a variety of operational and maintenance duties with a focus to include key and lock systems, door closures, lock and key work and other specialized duties pertaining to doors and door hardware. Responsible for estimating material costs and time required to complete a project or job. Ability to read blueprints as related to a iob.

Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent o Locksmith Certificate. Four (4) years of journeyman equivalent experience in a related field

Graduate Admissions Counselor (Potsdam, NY/ Schenectady, NY)

Position Summary: The Graduate Admissions Counselor is the primary point of contact for prospective students from their initial interest until they are accepted into one of Clarkson’s Professional Graduate Programs. They guide interested prospects through the application process, and actively communicate with prospects to assure exceptional service. Internally, they maintain records of all interactions and manage related systems and processes as a prospect inquires, applies, and is accepted or rejected. The position may require some evening and weekend work, flexible hours and occasional travel.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required. 1 year, preferably in a sales, customer service, or other higher education role.

Range: $19.00- $21.00 based on experience

Director of Alumni Relations (Potsdam, NY)

Position Summary: Provide leadership and strategic planning for the Alumni Relations Office. Under the direction of the Associate Vice President, the Director of Alumni Relations will provide a comprehensive program of activities for Clarkson alumni that will engage them as life-long partners in the institution. Direct and manage the alumni relations’ staff in crafting and implementing a strategic effort on the engagement of Clarkson alumni. This should include objective measures of understanding the “pulse” of the alumni base, means to address their needs, and measurements of success.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Higher Education Administration or a related field. 5 years of Experience in the areas of institutional advancement, event planning, volunteer management or related fields such as marketing, management or communications.

Range: $ 67,800- $ 74,825 based on experience
