2025 FuzeHub Manufacturing Grant Applications

Dear Faculty and Staff,

The 2025 FuzeHub Manufacturing Grant program is now accepting applications. Starting January 20th, organizations can apply for grants of up to $65,000 to support the commercialization of new technology and aid in the growth of New York State manufacturers.

FuzeHub Manufacturing Grant Program, FuzeHub

These grants present an excellent opportunity to drive innovation and economic growth by connecting research with practical manufacturing applications. Faculty members and collaborators are encouraged to submit proposals that align with the program’s focus on advancing technology and contributing to the state’s manufacturing sector.

New for 2025: Separate application periods are available for “established” and “startup” companies. Established companies can apply now, while startup applications will open in April.

Key Details:

  • Funding: Grants up to $65,000. Funds can be used for activities such as proof of concept, prototyping, and design for manufacturing.
  • Eligibility: The lead grantee must be a not-for-profit (e.g., Clarkson).
  • Collaboration Required: You must partner with at least one NYS manufacturer with fewer than 500 employees. Additional collaborations are encouraged!

Deadlines:

  • If partnering with an established company: January 20–February 19, 2025.
  • If partnering with a startup company: Applications open in April (details to follow).

To determine whether your proposed manufacturing partner is an “established company” or a “startup company,” review the following questions: If you answer “yes” to any of these questions, it is an established company:

  • Annual revenue is more than $100K, or total revenue to date is more than $500K.
  • Total investments received to date exceed $2M (excluding grants).
  • Has been in business for more than 5 years (more than 7 for life science, biomedical, or medical device industries).

Please contact Jamey Hoose at Clarkson’s Shipley Center for Innovation for any questions or assistance with the application process.
