The Counseling Center proudly announces that Gabbie Consing has been granted her Mental Health Counseling license. Gabbie began work in the Counseling Center in August of 2022. She came to us after completing her master’s degree, which included clinical experience in a College Counseling setting. She has been practicing with her Limited Permit, which is required until new graduates complete the required hours of supervised post-graduation clinical practice.
Gabbie has been a valuable member of the Counseling Center team demonstrating strong clinical skills, advocating for culturally inclusive practices, and starting our Wellness Peers peer education program. She was also instrumental in convincing the director that SHAC needed an Instagram account and making it happen! She is an amazing co-worker and a great cook! We are thrilled to celebrate this professional achievement in her career.
