Major Fellowships and Scholarships Workshop Series

Clarkson University students are invited to a series of workshops designed to help them explore prestigious fellowships, scholarships, research opportunities, and graduate school preparation. These sessions provide valuable insights into applications, writing strategies, and funding opportunities.

Spring 2025 Workshop Schedule

  • 12:15-1:00pm February 18 (Petersen Boardroom): Applying for the Fulbright & Gilman International Scholarships – Learn about two major opportunities for global experiences. The Fulbright U.S.Student Program funds study, research, and teaching abroad, while the Gilman Scholarship provides funding for study abroad opportunities for students with financial need. Get expert guidance on applications, eligibility, and crafting strong proposals.
  • 12:15-1:00pm February 27 (ERC 2400 CIC Conference Center): Writing a Personal Statement – Learn how to craft a compelling, well-structured personal statement for fellowships, scholarships, and graduate school applications.
  • 12:15-1:00pm March 13 (ERC 2400 CIC Conference Center): Applying for the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship (NSF GRFP) – Get insights on securing research funding for graduate studies in STEM and social sciences.
  • 12:15-1:00pm April 10 (ERC 2400 CIC Conference Center):: So You Want to Go to Graduate School? – Get an overview of the grad school application process, funding options, and what to expect at the next level of education.

These workshops are open to all students. Whether you’re exploring opportunities or actively preparing an application, these sessions will help you take the next step toward your academic and professional goals.
