- Internal Interest Form Due: September 5, 2025
- National Fulbright Deadline: October 7, 2025 at 5:00 PM ET
- Clarkson Contact: Professor Stephen Casper – scasper@clarkson.edu
Are you a rising senior interested in spending a year teaching English abroad, building cultural bridges, and launching your post-grad life with purpose?
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers fully funded English Teaching Assistantships (ETAs) in schools and universities across the world. You’ll work alongside local educators, help students improve their English, and share American culture — all while gaining international experience and perspective.
STEM Students Strongly Encouraged to Apply
Fulbright welcomes applicants from every academic background, but STEM students are often at an advantage:
- Many countries want STEM applicants to help students develop English skills in scientific and technical fields.
- Your analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are deeply valued in the classroom.
- Past STEM Fulbrighters have thrived in ETA placements — from teaching science in high schools in Germany to supporting STEM instruction in rural Colombia.
No teaching experience? No problem. Most countries don’t require prior classroom experience or foreign language fluency. What they want are motivated, adaptable, and curious students who are excited to engage with a new culture.
