Are you a Clarkson University student with a passion for global leadership and cross-cultural learning? Are you curious about working and living in Asia—even if you’ve never been before? The Luce Scholars Program offers an extraordinary opportunity for young leaders to gain professional experience in Asia, regardless of their field of study. You do not need to speak an Asian language or have prior experience in Asia.

This prestigious, nationally competitive fellowship provides a fully funded year-long placement in Asia, tailored to your interests and career goals. Designed for students who have had little to no exposure to Asia, the program supports 18 young Americans every year as they explore new cultures, develop as professionals, and build lifelong networks.

You do not need to speak an Asian language or have prior experience in Asia. The program is open to U.S. citizens or permanent residents under the age of 32 (or college seniors under 30) who have earned at least a bachelor’s degree by July 1, 2026.
