What is NSF I-Corps?

The National Science Foundation Innovation-Corps program (or NSF I-Corps for short!) is a prestigious, nationally recognized program designed to equip innovators with the tools and mentorship needed to explore the commercial potential of their ideas. Through hands-on learning and expert guidance, participants gain real-world experience in customer discovery—a vital skill for any aspiring entrepreneur, inventor, or researcher.

Why Join the Program?

  • Turn research into real-world impact. Explore potential market applications for your idea and pathways to commercialization.
  • Get funding to support your customer discovery research, attend conferences, and access valuable market databases.
  • Enhance grant competitiveness. Participation in a regional I-Corps program can improve your odds of securing state and/or federal grants.
  • Advance your career. I-Corps is recognized as valuable professional development in the STEM and business fields.
