The James Dyson Award is an internationally recognized engineering design competition for current undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates. The competition inspires the next generation of engineers by prompting them to apply their skills to solve a social, global, or sustainability issue.
Eligible projects must demonstrate an iterative design process, offer a unique solution with real-world impact, and stand apart from existing alternatives. Students can enter using ideas that were developed during an academic course, so long as the idea was not developed as part of a sponsored program.
Prize awards range from $6,000 – $35,000. Entries are due July 16, 2025 at midnight PST. For more information, please visit jamesdysonaward.org/en-US/.
